The grass field is about one kilometre from the house. The road is very steep, so the field is inaccessible by motorbikes. Grass must be carried home on the farmer’s back. This load of Lý Thị Hồ weighs about 30 kilogrammes. Some people can even carry 50 kilogrammes of grass. The grass cutting is mostly done by women and children, while men are hardly involved in it.
