In the countryside, little children usually help their families to take care of and feed buffaloes, which is the inspiration for this relief. The work was created in a tight composition and with stylised details. Notably, the artist delicately applied a traditional art feature – the yin-yang vortex – in this modern piece of art. Together, they vividly depict the bond between our people and the buffalo – the friend of the farmer and the symbol of Vietnam’s wet rice civilization.
